Are you a proactive and self-motivated Environmental Health and Safety professional who has experience in housing? If so, a local authority in Cardiff is recruiting for a Neighbourhood Services Officer to start at short notice.

You will be required to have experience in undertaking Housing Health, as well as using a Safety Rating System within private housing stock. You will also be responsible for managing complaints, inspecting HMO's and inspecting properties which may be filthy and verminous and taking relevant actions.

You will also be working towards bringing empty homes back into use and let out to tenants. You need to be able to gather evidence to provide, as well as serve statutory notices, produce prosecution files and give evidence at tribunals or court proceedings when required.
